EU-brochure over fondsen voor stimulering actief ouder worden — door Zorg Innovatie Forum — Laatste wijziging: 26-08-2011 13:04

Het Comité van de Regio's, AGE Platform Europe en de Europese Commissie hebben een brochure opgesteld die de initiatiefnemers van lokale en regionale projecten op het gebied van gezond ouder wijst om de mogelijke Europese fondsen hiervoor. Dit onder andere met het oog op het Europees Jaar voor gezond ouder worden en solidariteit tussen generaties (2012). Naast financieringsbronnen zijn er ook projectvoorbeelden opgenomen.

The ICT Policy Support Programme (or ICT PSP) aims at stimulating innovation and competitiveness through the wider uptake and best use of ICT by citizens, governments and businesses. The 6th Call for Proposals is open from 3 February until 15 May 2012. Details on Call 6 are available here.

The objective of the Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme (AAL JP) is to enhance the quality of life of older people and strengthen the industrial base in Europe through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The motivation of the new funding activity is in the demographic change and ageing in Europe, which implies not only challenges but also opportunities for the citizens, the social and healthcare systems as well as industry and the European market. Main activity under the AAL Joint Programme is the funding of R&D projects in the AAL domain that result from regularly published calls for proposals.

The Health Programme supports activities that improve and protect human health. Different funding schemes are available depending on the type of project. The type of funding for each activity is set out each year in a work plan – with the aim to achieve goals as efficiently as possible with the full cooperation of programme stakeholders. Unless indicated otherwise tender, the basic principle is joint funding: Commission grants cover a certain percentage of projects' overall costs.
